There are many lovely tavernas, which are a vital part of the village’s social life. Most of the tavernas offer special bouzouki nights. A variety of shops, which provide anything from organic produce to supermarket goods, a bank, bakery, chemist, laundry.

Oroklini, which overlooks Larnaca bay, is conveniently only a short drive from lively Larnaca, which is known for its lovely beach, beautiful marina and its picturesque seafront that features a row of tall palm trees. Cultural life in the town is rich and many events are organized by the town’s municipality almost daily.

There are many different beaches in Cyprus, which Larnaca is the most popular nearest to the apartment. Its palm tree promenade beachfront is filled with Cafes, bars, restaurants and amusements for children and teens. There is normally live entertainment every Saturday night, which is free. You just sit at the bar of your choice while listening to live music.

Summer sports, sea activities and cruises are readily available. Larnaca being the centre of the country is the ideal base for exploring other towns, such as Protaras, Ayia Napa, Troodos Mountains, Limassol and Paphos, to name but a few.

Even if you’re not out to get a tan, the sun makes virtually everything more enjoyable on the island. Places of Interest

Larnaca has a number of attractions, like Salt Lake, which, in the cooler months is home to colonies of graceful flamingos and other migratory birds. Beside the lake in a tranquil setting crowned by lush palm trees, is the Hala Sultan Tekke, built to the memory of Prophet Mohammed’s Aunt. There is also religious site St Lazarus Church, ancient ruins Kition, Larnaca fort and Larnaca Museum.

Children

Activities for children include, children’s water sports, donkey and horse riding, go Carting, Ten-pin bowling, There are many children’s amusement parks with rides and machines. The Camel Park is a good day out, as they have a few amusements and you can spend the day by the pool. There is also a restaurant on site.
